CAUBO Member Discounts

As Lambton College employees, we have access to a savings program from the Canadian Association of University Business Officers (CAUBO). To access these discount programs, you must create an account and log in to the CAUBO website. You must be an active employee and provide your college email in order to create a website account.

Employee and Family Assistance Program

All employees have access to the College’s EFAP program. Whether you’re looking for health/life/career coaching or counselling for all of life’s challenges, you can access free support. Check out their catalogue of services to learn more.

Full-Time: Member Health Benefits

Full-Time members have access to excellent medical benefit coverage through Sun Life for prescription drugs, vision care, hospital expenses, dental, paramedical, medical services and equipment and other programs focussed on improving and maintaining your health and wellness. Employee Educational Assistance

Full-Time and Part-Time employees who have completed at least 6 months of continuous employment with the College may apply for educational assistance. If there is a certificate, diploma, degree or doctorate program you want to start working towards, you may qualify for full or partial tuition reimbursement. Scholarships

OPSEU/SEFPO members and their dependents are eligible to apply for a variety of scholarships. Most application deadlines are the end of June each year. More details found here: https://opseu.org/scholarships/

Job Shadow Program

Lambton College full time and regular part time Support Staff, that have completed at least 6 months of current service, are able to apply for a Job Shadow program. This program is designed to give support staff the opportunity to shadow other support staff positions or departmental areas in the College that you are interested in learning more about.

The program will enable employees to acquire additional knowledge and develop a richer understanding of our departments, programs and operations. If interested, please contact HR or email local124@outlook.com for more information.

Full-Time: Tuition Subsidy for Dependent Children

We all know how much everything costs these days! Don’t forget to apply for tuition reimbursment if your child attends Lambton College! The college will pay up to $1,000 per term, per dependent child of a full-time college employee who is enrolled at Lambton College. Check out the link on myLambton for more details!

Health and Dental Plans (Non-Full-Time Members)

Designed with you in mind, the Johnson Personal Health Plan is an affordable health and dental benefit plan, offering you a choice in coverage between an Optimum Plan and a Preferred Plan.

  • No waiting period: Coverage begins the first of the month following the approval of your application.

  • Pay-Direct Card: Eligible expenses can be submitted electronically through most pharmacies, dental offices, hospitals, and professional services offices.

  • Increasing Maximums: As your plan enrollment continues, your benefit coverage and plan maximums increase.

  • Automatic Renewal: Coverage is automatically renewed annually under the same plan, even if there is a change in your health status.

  • Portability: Coverage can be continued if you change employers as the only requirements are Canadian residency and provincial government health plan coverage.

  • Professional Services: Coverage for services include acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractor and physiotherapy.
